Pacific Medical Systems Limited (PMS) has announced the signing of an exclusive distribution agreement with Luxonus Inc., Japan for the distribution of their innovative 3D-Photoacoustic Imaging Technology for medical use. Under the agreement, PMS is granted exclusive rights to distribute the Luxonus products in medical market of Hong Kong and Macau.

The resulting image resolution of scanned blood vessels is extremely high and better than with typical current imaging methods such as MRI, CT or Ultrasound. The ability to display and differentiate between arteries, veins and lymphatic vessels and being non-invasive and without radiation or the need for any harmful contrast agents is highly attractive. Depending on the area of interest, the scans can be performed in real-time or within just a few minutes and are not operator dependent.”
