The Emergency Medicine Unit (EMU) of Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong (HKU) has developed a mobile app “HKUEMU AED” that allows users to search and locate the AED nearby whenever it is needed in emergency.

Owners are also encouraged to voluntarily provide the whereabouts of their AEDs in order to increase the chance of public access.
