It is our great pleasure to have Prof. Brendan E. Smith of Bathurst Base Hospital, Australia as the honorary speaker at the USCOM Haemodynamic Course to be held in the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Prof. Brendan Smith is considered a world leader in haemodynamics. He was credited as a State Finalist Australian of the Year 2015 with a medical discovery responsible for one of the biggest reductions in patient mortality rates in the history of medicine. "As an expert in all things relating to blood flow and pressure... [he was] the first to use a non-invasive piece of scanning technology to test whether a patient is suffering from septic shock or blood poisoning, in its earliest stages." {Australian of the Year Award}

Prof. Smith will give two presentations on haemodynamic measurement.
