The Handy Diagnosis of Atrial Fibrillation (AF)

Atrial fibrillation (AF), an arrhythmia, is very common in people aged 65 or older. This condition increases the risks of death, congestive heart failure, and thromboembolic conditions. Many patients with AF are asymptomatic and a cerebravascular accident (CVA) is often the first clinical presentation. These undiagnosed patients are not treated with anticoagulants and they have an increased risk for stroke; thus, there is a need for earlier detection and diagnosis of AF.

MyDiagnostick is intended to discriminate AF from normal cardiac rhythm. it is an ECG recorder and has the shape of a stick with metallic handles (electrodes) at both ends.

MyDiagnostick can be used by general practitioners as well as care providers like cardiologists, neurologists and nurses.
